Dagger Collection

The wood used for this knife is the darker colored called "Kamagong".

Baby Samurai Knife with sheath and handle made from Philippine hardwood grown in the shadows of Mount Pinatubo, province of Zambales!

Congratulations on discovering our one-of-a-kind, high quality "Baby Samurai" letter opener knife!

Each unique knife is carefully hand-made by talented native Filipinos trained by a highly skilled American craftsman who provides livelihood and income to local artisans. He has received many distinguished awards for his craftsmanship and artistic talent in sword making.

Every part of this awesome knife is extremely high quality and heavy duty, from the stainless steel blade to the handle made of vintage Narra, Mahogany or Kamagong hardwood of the Philippines! These hardwoods were plentiful in the rainforests of the province of Zambales for centuries.

Then an unfortunate, heartbreaking incident happened in 1991. The volcano Mount Pinatubo erupted after over 600 years of being asleep.

Ashes spewed more than five miles into the air and came back down to mix with violent typhoon rains to form lahar the deadly pyroclastic material streaming down the volcano’s sides to devastate everything in its path -- an avalanche of deadly, seething volcanic ashflow! Trees, native homes, farmlands and rivers fell and were helplessly buried in the lahar paths! Nothing survived under 30 feet of lahar cover. When the smoke cleared after weeks of destruction, the landscape looked like Neil Armstrong’s moon!

Edge of Asia is a “Green”, ecologically attuned company (all our business facilities are paperless!). Because it takes 25 years to grow a hardwood tree to maturity, we make certain no more trees are cut or destroyed to make our products! All hardwood parts of this Baby Samurai Knife are derived from devastated, vintage, heritage homes and other old, wooden structures on the exotic Philippine Island of Luzon, province of Zambales, built well before Mount Pinatubo vented its ire on the land and crushed these structures.

The blade of each knife is over five inches in length, has a polished finish and is very sharp! Each meticulously hand-crafted piece is unique and original, no two blades are ever the same!
This Baby Samurai Knife is a work of art steeped in history of Mother Nature’s Mount Pinatubo eruption -- a classic destined to be sought after in the years to come -- and is so unique, beautiful and practical that you may want more than one!

It makes an ideal gift for a CEO and other top office executives or for a curio collector!

Total Weight with stand and Hardwood sheath is approx 100 Grams.
